The name On Course came from a motivation to help people get their life back on track. Too often life goes by fast and unexpected events result in changes without realizing how this can impact our emotional wellbeing. There are many things that can create a roadblock and affect our emotional growth. Self-awareness can help you to not avoid uncomfortable feelings and process your emotions so that they do not interfere with achieving your goals in life. Self-reflection can help provide insight that can help you better understand the unconscious patterns or obstacles that are derailing you from being on your path.
We, at On Course Psychological Counseling, help to put the presenting problems within a context of your life and develop treatment goals together to help address them. We believe in teaching coping skills so that people can empower themselves and in using treatment that research has shown has been helpful in the past. Our mental health therapists use evidenced based treatment, such as cognitive behavioral therapy (CBT & MiCBT), dialectical behavior therapy (DBT) and mentalization based therapy (MBT) to encourage self-reflection and emotional growth.
